Israeli gays project: 'Til the Wedding
Summary: These are the clips relevant to a gay themed storyline from the Israeli show 'Til the Wedding. The show follows several relationships that revolve around an impending wedding. The bride's brother, Harel, is our protagonist as he meets Amir...

(did I mention I suck at introductions and this is all my friend's fault to begin with? Yeah. But the guys are lovely and worth all the trouble)

    Language: Hebrew with English subtitles.

    Why so dead?
    ב"ה

Hey all, why is this community so dead? Let's see if we can't revive the group with a discussion about some glbt - Jewish related news.

    Jewish guide has transgender blessing
Halfway through a newly revised manual promoting inclusion for gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgendered people in Judaism's Reform movement are two short blessings written by a rabbi who was raised Eliza and now goes by Elliot.

Holocaust Revisionism Supported to Further Jewish Ex-Gay Agenda
Jews Offering New Alternatives to Homosexuality (JONAH) appears to stand alone as the only Jewish ex-gay organization in the country. With a fairly substantial online library, rabbinical commentary, and even an option to read the site in Hebrew, JONAH is obviously taking great pains to reach out exclusively to a Jewish audience. But at what cost are they trying to prove that homosexuality is a lifestyle of vice and ultimately harmful to both society and humanity?

Militant Jewish Sect Battle Police Over Gay Pride Arrests
(Jerusalem) More than a month after a gay pride march in Jerusalem members of the haredi, an extreme Orthodox sect that rioted for a week prior to the parade are still battling with police.

    My next question:

    Tattoos.

How many of you have them, how many of you hide them?

If you are a convert, did you get them before or after you converted?

If you have them, how do you feel about them given that they are un uncommon or forbidden thing?

How common are they in places like Israel?

Forgive me if this is an ignorant question, but what percentage of,or which men among you wear a kippah all , or most ,of the time?
If you are a convert,is this different for you?
At which times would you consider it appropriate/inappropriate to wear one?

Hi there! Hope this community is still alive?
I'm not Jewish (yet) but am extremly interested in converting. I was wondering how tolerant Judaism is towards gays?

Oh and another question, I have strong Buddishts beliefs but follow it more as a way of life, not a religion.
Can I still maintain this? Or do I have to drop every belief I have and start over?

I've been reading on basic beliefs and the different types (I don't know of a better word) of Judaism. I haven't been to a rabbi yet (I'm a little afraid actually) but I also want to make sure it's the right "type" of Judaism. Is there a way to distinguish that?

    Bad, but semi-accurate joke
At an Orthodox wedding, the bride's mother is pregnant. At a Conservative wedding, the bride is pregnant. At a Reform wedding, the rabbi is pregnant. At a Reconstructionist wedding, the rabbi and her wife are both pregnant.

    Gay Rabbis

    Hello!

My name is Naomi, and I've just recently been assigned as a fundraiser for WorldPride, which as most of you already know is Jerusalem's upcoming pride week this August. I'm here to see if any of you would consider volunteering for or donating to the Jerusalem Open House, Jerusalem's LGBT organisation. We're expecting tens of thousands of marchers this year and the city will be simply flooded with LGBT people and their friends and loved ones. As you can imagine, the Open House is spending a small fortune on this year's events and we need help! We would like to ask people from all over the world to help us in our endeavor to produce Israel's first truly international, multicultural LGBT pride event! Remember: every little bit helps, and even a few dollars via Paypal will help tremendously!

If you would like more information I am willing to spring for calling you no matter where you are in the world or to correspond via email.

    Show some love
Yesterday I was in a great rage because I saw for the first time one of the horrible Fred Phelps's propaganda videos. It filled me with anger, and shock, and contempt, and sadness.

But then, i've found this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sfln-GJ2D6E&search=Fred%20Phelps&watch2
and i kept crying for nearly an hour. It's a very moving video, very well made, very true. And it made me want to DO something, even if just a little something.
So this is it: watch it and tell me what you think. The message I want to bring is: your are not alone.

    Love.

    Er, hi
First, I apologize if this type of post isn't allowed, but I thought it may be acceptable so I figured, why not?

Anyway, I founded and maintain gsa_lj, and in an attempt to increase membership in under-represented groups, I've decided to try and get more religious people to join. Unfortunately, many members are pretty militantly athiest, which is fine, but I hate to see people hostile to religion because all they've seen is anti-gay crap spewed. Admittedly, much of it is anti-Christian bias.

So, check the community out. You may like it. We have several Jewish members (even gay Jewish Republicans!), but I'm always looking for new people.

Again, I apologize if this type of post isn't allowed.

    Cordially,

    Jamie

    SO Jewtastic
I'm watching this special on VH1 called So Jewtastic! and they're dropping names like crazy about all the famous jews in movies, music and porn (Ron Jeremy)
but no mention of all the jewish DJs like DJ AM or all the ones I hang out with all over Colorado, England and Ibiza...
sure it's a shameless self plug, but BadBoyBobby rocks!

Also, all these jews are orthodox, wtf?! any reform jews out there???

    Shalom!
